I was honoured to be invited back by Cable Ties, this time, to design their debut album! Once again, Paul Pirie provided the original artwork (pastel on card) but this time we had a lot further to take it. This LP was pressed on 12" vinyl and distributed in Australia and World-Wide. Cable Ties were named Triple J's artist of the week just before officially releasing the album, and have been gaining momentum ever since. The first pressing of 1000 12" albums were sold out by the end of their Australian Tour off the back of it's release, with many other CD sales accompanying. The album had to be re-pressed ahead of their first European tour.
This project included the design of the 12" album, the CD, 3 Melbourne launch show posters, National Tour poster (including 6 variations for local cities), European Tour poster, and various Facebook Event Banners for most shows.
I'm incredibly proud of this work. The application of the same identity to so many variations and platforms has been a welcome challenge. I would love to keep working with bands to create more Vinyls, as this medium is so unlimited style wise, and I love working with the bands to ensure the record looks like it sounds.
